Subaru and its retailers partner with Operation Warm® to visit local homeless shelters and support agencies to provide children with brand-new necessities like coats, shoes, and socks.
These essential items not only help keep children protected, warm, and dry, they can also have a significant impact on a child’s mental and emotional well-being.
Through this partnership and other historical Subaru Loves to Help efforts, Subaru and retailers like us will have supported over 1 million children and adults in urgent need nationwide.
At Subaru, we believe what we leave behind is a reflection of who we are. That’s why Subaru and our retailers partner with the Arbor Day Foundation (TM) to provide and distribute 100,000 regionally appropriate trees across the country. We’re proud to establish the largest corporate tree distribution ever. Through this and other Subaru Loves the Earth initiatives, Subaru and our retailers have helped distribute and plant over 1.1 million trees.
Subaru believes we should all have a chance to lead a healthy life. That’s why for over 10 years, Subaru and its retailers like us have partnered with Blood Cancer United® and our local hospital to give warm blankets and encouraging messages of hope, written by our employees and customers, to support our community members living with cancer. Through our combined efforts during this partnership, we have supported over 550,000 cancer patients nationwide. Together, we are proud to be Blood Cancer United’s largest automotive donor.
Subaru and its retailers, like us, are continuing our support of education and high-needs schools in our communities through Subaru Loves Learning(R) by providing teachers across the country with funding to purchase the school supplies and resources they know are needed to help students thrive in the classroom. Through our partnership with AdoptAClassroom.org, Subaru and its retailers have supported more than 950,000 students nationwide and are proud to be their largest corporate supporter.
Subaru believes all pets deserve a loving home. That's why retailers like us partner with our local animal welfare organization every October to provide direct financial assistance through a grant distributed by the ASPCA® and host pet events to help animals find loving homes. Through our partnership with local and national organizations, Subaru has donated over $70 million, supporting the rescue, adoption, and health of over 700,000 animals. We're proud to be the largest corporate donor to the ASPCA.
Subaru and its retailers believe in giving back to our communities. That's why for every new vehicle sold or leased during the Subaru Share the Love event, Subaru and its retailers, like us, makes a donation to national charities that our owners care about and to over 2,700 local charities where Subaru owners live and work.

Every month, we select inspiring stories from customers and partners from around our area who strive to support our collective commitment and feature them here.
On August 21st, Eide Subaru was honored to bring 7 staff to Custer Elementary School and meet the kids of this amazing school. Through the Subaru Loves Learning event, Eide Subaru was able to present each class with school supplies that helped ensure each child was prepared for the new school year. The children were excited to see that Subaru was interested in their education and there were smiles all around. This is an event especially close to the hearts of those at Eide Subaru because we know how important education is and how hard it can be to provide or children everything they need to be successful in school. It was a huge blessing to partner with Custer Elementary School again and Eide Subaru are already looking forward to next year.
Our Annual Pet Adoption Event, held on October 25th at Eide Subaru, was filled with barks and meows. In partnership with Furry Friends Rockin' Rescue, the day brought our community together for a true celebration of pets and the people who love them. Every adopted pet went home with a New Pet Parent Kit, and Eide Subaru proudly donated an additional $4,000 to Furry Friends Rockin' Rescue. Thank you to everyone who joined us and helped make this fantastic event happen!
On Thursday June 26 a team of Eide Subaru employees rolled up to the Bismarck Cancer Center in a Subaru Ascent packed with gifts for the patients. This summer marks the 10th year of partnership between The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS) and Subaru of America and its retailers across the country in supporting blood cancer patients through the Subaru Loves to Care Initiative. Eide Subaru delivered beautiful, warm blankets and patient care kits to help the patients through their treatment. But Eide Subaru also opted to donate $2,500 to LLS to support the LLS Urgent Need Pediatric & Young Adult Program, which will financially help five families this year. Nyk Edinger of Eide Subaru shared, “This partnership holds personal interest to several of our employees who have either used Bismarck Cancer Center for themselves or a family member. So we understand firsthand the impact the Center and these blankets will have on those going through a difficult time in their lives. It is something we would be dedicated to even if Subaru wasn't on any of the items.” And he added, “As a dealership we would love for people to really understand that we are here in the community and are for the community, not just to sell cars but to truly make a positive impact in ways that have nothing to do with the car industry. We gain so much from the community giving us their trust and loyalty when it comes to their automotive needs that we feel the need to take every opportunity we can to give that back by providing help to the most vulnerable in our cities. But not just in a physical way, in an emotional and encouraging and caring way as well.” The staff of Bismarck Cancer Center wants Eide Subaru to know that these blankets have been a huge hit over the past couple of weeks since they received the delivery. Helping others strengthens communities, which is why Eide Subaru is partnering with Operation Warm®, a national nonprofit focused on connecting children with the resources they need to thrive. Through this partnership and other Subaru Loves to Help® efforts, Subaru and retailers like Eide Subaru have helped nearly 900,000 children and adults in urgent need. On 01/16/2025, Eide Subaru donated 204 coats to Ministry on the Margins. These essential items not only help keep children protected, warm, and dry, it can have a significant impact on a child's mental and emotional well-being.
Eide Subaru Strengthens Community Through Subaru Loves to Help® Initiative Bismarck, ND – Eide Subaru is committed to fostering a strong community by supporting individuals and families in urgent need. This season, as part of our Subaru Loves to Help® initiative, we are proud to partner with Operation Warm®, a national nonprofit dedicated to providing children with essential resources to thrive. Through this partnership and previous Subaru Loves to Help efforts, Subaru and retailers like Eide Subaru have supported nearly 900,000 children and adults facing urgent needs nationwide. For countless children and adults experiencing homelessness or other hardships, including right here in Bismarck-Mandan, going without basic necessities like coats, shoes, or socks is a stark reality. These items are critical not only for physical protection but also for boosting mental and emotional well-being. On January 16, 2025, Eide Subaru teamed up with Ministry on the Margins to donate coats to children in need at an event held at Ministry on the Margins, located at 201 N 24th St, Bismarck, ND 58501. These coats provide warmth and comfort during North Dakota’s harsh winters, helping children stay safe and confident. “In North Dakota, our winters are brutally cold and can be dangerous without proper clothing,” said Jory Ditsworth, General Manager of Eide Subaru. “Witnessing the joy on these children’s faces as they received their new coats was truly heartwarming for all our volunteers.” To learn more about Ministry on the Margins and their impactful work, visit https://ministryonthemargins.org/. Eide Subaru is committed to fostering a vibrant, healthy community in Mandan, ND, for generations to come. Trees are vital to this mission, providing oxygen, cooling neighborhoods, filtering water, improving air quality, preventing flooding, and enhancing public health. Yet, our community loses trees each year to age, disease, pests, and extreme weather. Through Subaru’s Loves the Earth initiative, Eide Subaru partnered with the Arbor Day Foundation this spring to distribute 100 mature, regionally appropriate trees to enrich local neighborhoods. “The Subaru Loves the Earth initiative is a fantastic opportunity for our customers to pick up a tree and plant it this spring,” said General Manager Jory Ditsworth. Nationally, Subaru and its retailers distributed 100,000 trees to communities this year. Through this partnership and other efforts, Subaru and its retailers have planted over 1.1 million trees to date, with plans for further growth. Together, we are cultivating a greener, healthier Mandan for future generations.
